Itinerary
Day 1 :
Welcome to Tanzania
After being picked up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and taken to your hotel in Moshi town, you will meet your guide who will give you an overview of the trip ahead of you and check that you have all the gear you need for the mountains. On this day, the missing equipment can be rented.
Day 2 :
Drive to 2364-meter Rongai Gate
Drive to 2364-meter Rongai Gate and hike to 2750-meter Simba Camp Travel to the Rongai gate and begin your hike through the route forest until you reach the edge of the moorland, where the camp is situated and offers stunning views over the plains of Kenya
Day 3 :
Kikelewa Camp 3600m – Simba Camp 2750m
steady climb to the Second Cave, which offers breathtaking views of the crater's eastern ice fields and Kibo peak. Day 4: Mawenzi Tarn 4315m – Kikelewa Camp 3600. After a brief initial ascent, there are fantastic mountain views. It takes a few hours to reach the tarn, which is located in a cirque right below Mawenzi. A quick hike followed by an afternoon of relaxation. Spend two nights camping here.
Day 4 :
Kibo Hut - Mawenzi Tarn, 4315 meters
9 kilometers, or 4720 meters. At Kibo campsite, which is located under the massif itself, campers make their way across the high desert landscape that forms the saddle between Kibo peak and Mawenzi peak. Take a nap before the summit day.
Day 5 :
: Summit of Kibo Camp, 4,720 m Mount Uhuru Horombo Hut
Summit of Kibo Camp, 4,720 m Mount Uhuru Horombo Hut is located at 5895 meters.6 km up, 15 km down is 3720m. Climb to the crater rim at Gilman's Point on the summit day, followed by a descend to Horombo Hut on the Marangu route to the summit of Uhuru.
Day 6 :
Marangu Gate, 1830m; Horombo Hut, 3720m
Marangu Gate, 1830m; Horombo Hut, 3720m. 20km. It was a long day, walking all the way to the path's gate then back down to the forest. It takes about 30 minutes to drive back to Moshi (1387 meters) from Marangu.
Day 7 :
Fly home or join our national park for safari, then transfer to Kilimanjaro airport.
