At the Momella Gate, we complete the necessary formalities before commencing our adventure alongside your knowledgeable guide and an armed ranger—wildlife awaits in these forests! The scenic forest section boasts magnificent strangler figs and the possibility of catching glimpses of buffalo grazing in clearings. As the sun dips toward the horizon, an exquisite viewpoint awaits, followed by a delectable dinner at Miriakamba Hut, marking the perfect end to a day filled with exploration.

After a few hours of enchanting trails, you'll arrive at Saddle Hut, greeted by a lunch spread amidst the mesmerizing alpine desert zone. The afternoon offers an optional trek to the summit of Little Meru (Alt: 12,532ft, 3820m), promising awe-inspiring views that will linger in your memory. Return to Saddle Hut in time for a delightful dinner, relishing the day's accomplishments.

The magnificence of Kilimanjaro is often visible, its grandeur enhancing the sheer cliffs of the crater, plunging dramatically over 1000 feet or more. Capture these awe-inspiring moments at Socialist Peak (Alt: 14,978ft, 4,565m) before returning to Saddle Hut for a quick refuel and brunch. The long hike begins, tracing your steps back to Momella Gate, where our driver eagerly awaits your arrival. Enjoy the transfer back to your accommodation, anticipating that well-deserved shower—a perfect ending to this remarkable adventure!
